Central PA Man ID'd, Dad Hospitalized Following Deadly Crash: Coroner

A central Pennsylvania man has been identified following a deadly crash in central Pennsylvania on Saturday, Dec. 3, authorities say.

The Lancaster County coroner's office was called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Prospect Road, in West Hempfield Township at 2:15 a.m.

A deputy coroner responded to the scene and pronounced 41-year-old Chad Rapp of Columbia dead at the scene. 

Rapp was the passenger inside a Ford SUV that struck a tree around 1 .am., according to area police. 

His father was driving and remains in the hospital according to his family. 

Rapp was transported to the Lancaster County Forensic Center for further examination. His cause and manner of death are currently pending.

His friends and family are already mourning their sudden loss.
